IMUS appointed by Dyer & Butler (MGroup Services) to act as the lead designer developing an historical planning approval to convert two railway arches into workshop facilities for a specialist stone cutter in London.
The existing railway arches were in poor condition as a result of water ingress and neglect. There was a significant structural programme undertaken to strengthen the brick and concrete structure under what is a 'live' railway line. The architectural design included for new facades front and back and the introduction of a Mezzanine level designed to facilitate the heavy duty machinery and materials of the end user.
The project successfully achieved Planning and Building Regulation approval and on completion was handed over for occupation and is now fully operational.
