Airline Moves

Gatwick Airport

December 2017

In 2017 GAL undertook the delivery of the ‘Airline Moves’ project whereby several of the airport’s principle airlines, British Airways, EasyJet, Virgin Atlantic moved their operations between the North and South Terminals. To facilitate this a number of development projects were implemented throughout the GAL property portfolio including works to Jubilee House, Atlantic House, Destinations Place and a number of air side buildings and piers.

Employed by both GAL and their framework contractors, imus delivered a series of development and fit-out projects over a period of twelve months. These included projects associated with airline crew rooms, offices, ground staff facilities, specialist facilities, welfare, washrooms and showers.

As part of the relocation of airlines, Jubilee House underwent a number of development works and imus were appointed to redesign the main entrance and reception to improve access to accommodate the increase in flow of occupants whilst maintaining security to the new Staff Search Area.
